It was on 3x (fast for that song) and I don’t know how I did it… I think PiU is a bit more forgiving than some games. I think my best acheivement so far has been getting an S on Extravaganza. Right now, the only place I occassionally play at is a bowling alley that has a PiU Exceed 2 machine.
Once you play on one of those beauties (essentially the cabinet of PiU combined with the clearly superior version of DDR that ItG is), you can never go back to playing on a DDR Extreme machine. There was a place downtown (near Wet n Wild) that had an amazing In the Groove 2 dedicab. No respectable arcade owner can in good conscience leave a dance machine running when it has a broken sensor or the pad “earthquakes.” These are usually on Pump It Ups at Cici’s Pizza where they were never meant to be anything more than a glorified juke box for kids to mosh on. I think my BIGGEST pet peeve is when I find a new dance machine and the pads are screwed up. It gives tons of extra analysis on the score screen, has the easiest to use/read menus, and just overall has the cleanest interface. Simply Love is by far the most useful theme. There’s no real bemani community here, which makes going to the arcade a bit boring. This is pre-DLC mind you, someone could probably make a killing if they released something with lots of DLC/content support for the console platforms. I imagine that getting the licensing rights to the songs to insert into the games were expensive. Lots are grating J-Pop songs that are remixed to bass heavy house versions or Happy House genres of music. ago its late in ny and I have work but I will post back with an update. To play these simfiles, you need a DDR simulator like Stepmania. If you can find the thread on Zenius-I-vanisher, it will have a Discord link to the official server. About three to four years ago a bunch of friends introduced me to Dance Dance Revolution and it was quite a bit of fun. DDR XX is a chart pack project led by a team under the alias Midflight Digital, with a companion theme project called DDR XX -STARLiGHT.
